Oprócz funkcji typowych wideomonitory serii VP-800 mogą pełnić szereg funkcji dodatkowych m.in.: interkomu, ramki cyfrowej, odtwarzacza muzyki, dyktafonu, kalendarza, a nawet „elektronicznej niani”. Dodatkowo wideodomofony VP-800 wyposażone są w opcję rejestracji obrazu w następstwie detekcji ruchu oraz funkcję „foto”, która aktywowana jest poprzez naciśnięcie przycisku w panelu zewnętrznym. Pulsujące podświetlenie jest powiadomieniem o pojawieniu się w systemie nowych wiadomości głosowych lub zdjęć.
